A Veggie Tale

Last night we made a stir fry thingy with chicken, bok choy, carrots and bean sprouts.

Knowing that this is not on Joey’s chewy salty carb palate, I offered him a turkey & cheese on a white hamburger bun.


“Do you want chicken and vegetables?”


Lo and behold, he ate a bowlful.

When he came and sat in the kitchen while we were cooking, we assumed he was just hungry and aware that it was dinner time.

But we’re learning that he’s into the social ingredient now, not just textures. He wants to share in what the other folks are eating.

Even if it’s all full of vegetables.

Or maybe our cooking is Just. That. Awesome.
